Bons Ju

Details

Producer: Domaine de La Graveirette

Grapes: Rousanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc

Tasting Notes

Perfumed and elegant with a heavy hand of floral aromas. The palate is quince, peach, lemon curd and a touch of sweet chiffon. The finish is fruity and waxy with torched pineapple and persimmon pastry.

Pairing Recommendations

Creamed spinach, broccoli cheddar soup, radishes with butter

Interesting Fact

Half of the grapes are handpicked and the other half mechanically from 50 year old vines. All grapes are then hand sorted with double selection before being pressed. After finishing his studies at Beaune in Burgundy, Julien Mus, the
winemaker, returned to the Vaucluse and in 2005, after years of
working in the cooperative, started Domaine de la Graveirette on
his own, with quality being his goal. In 2012 he began working
organically and soon after biodynamically, with the 2015 vintage certified by Demeter.

Chateau du Donjon Minervois Blanc

Tasting Notes

Light green in color with a richness to the nose. Notes of grapefruit, carmalized passion fruit, a touch of vanilla and some Pear Williams' as well. The fruits translate to the palate with a freshness that's balanced by minerality and fruitiness.

Truffle toast, beurre blanc, as an aperitif

Interesting Fact

Located between the sea and the Thau Lagoon, Château du Donjon is located about 10 kilometres north-east of Carcassonne in the heart of Bagnoles. It was once the property of the monks of the abbey of Caunes-Minervois and was used as an outpost. It takes its name from the ancient castle at Bagnoles. The estate has been in the PANIS-MIALHE family since the 15th century and still has its picturesque 13th century donjon.

Tasting Notes

Green guava and sour apple candy aromas open this tart, light and zippy refresher with tons of white peach flavors and a creamy yet crisp finish. A blend of local grapes Muscadelle, Loin de l’œil and Sauvignon. The wine is a perfect organic refresher.

Seafood boil, fresh strawberries, grilled fish

Jean Marc and his Daughter Aurélie produce all of the wines. Jean Marc focuses on the reds and whites while Aurélie's passion lies in her rosé project, Château L'Enclos des Roses.

Fredignac Cuvee La Favorite

Tasting Notes

A fruity, juicy wine with swathes of black currant and berry flavors.The wines depth and complexity from the ancient vines shows itself in the length of the finish and the smoky, spicy characteristics. The youthful touch shows itself in that the fruits are fresh and pronounced, and not stewed or overripe like some Bordeauxs. This is the wine to drink to convince a friend that Bordeaux can be approachable, or maybe the bottle to finally sway you!

Interesting Fact

A young winemaking couple took over the centuries old vineyards and winery, and the wines are showing a balance of vine age and winemaker age. La Favorite, named after the ship a Brittany sailor docked near Bordeaux and never left.

Interesting Fact

Cabernet Franc is sometimes referred to as Breton here. Also, there are TONS of castles in Saint-Nicolas. According to local legend, Cabernet Franc (Breton) was brought to Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil after it was first planted at the nearby Abbey of Bourgueil. Even today the Abbey still has plantings of the grape in its garden.

Very lively ruby ​​red color that fades with aging. It is thick and dry with fruity and spicy notes of raspberry and cinnamon. Wonderfully balanced acidity. It ages well becoming soft and velvety.
