Le P'tit Coup Blanc

Producer: Chateau du Donjon
Region: Languedoc, France
Grapes: Sauvignon 50%, Colombard 50%

Slightly acidic, flush with fruit and soft on the palate - the trifecta for a “little white French sipper.” Chamomile and yellow apple flavors dominate before petite white flowers and a touch of crisp acid wrap it up.

Candy Corn

The Donjon wine family waters a portion of their vines thanks to an old agreement document signed between a village and the family patriarch. In exchange for fixing a dam washed away by a flood they were to receive water for their vines til the end of time - the dam was repaired in 3 days and lasted for centuries.

Benizar Cabernet Rosado

Producer: Castillo de Benizar
Region:
La Mancha, Spain
Grapes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

The full bodied Cabernet fruit shines with red currant and raspberry aromas surrounding a strawberry led palate with a hint of sweetness.

Twizzlers

La Mancha is an arid yet fertile elevated plateau south of Madrid. The name is derived from the Arab word 'al-mansha' or 'the dry land.'

Teroldego

Producer: Peltier
Region: Lodi, CA
Grapes: 99.5% Teroldego, .05% Petite Syrah

This Teroldego is a monster. The Teroldego skins are very thick, resulting in a very dark and tannic wine. It was picked ripe to develop a strong plum character. This wine was fermented in stainless steel with D254 yeast. It was then aged in french oak barrels for 4 years. This lengthy aging is needed to soften this extremely tannic wine. The new barrels impart vanilla and spice characters.

Snickers

The Clements Hills grapes produce a lot of plum and black olive flavors and the Mokelumne River grapes bring some fig and dark cherry flavors.

Vigne Blanche

Producer: Domaine d'Escausses
Region: Gaillac, France
Grapes: Braucol, Duras, Syrah

Winemaker Jean Marc likes to describe this wine in one simple word: rouge. Tough to argue when the wine is such a deep, deep garnet color boasting intense scents of red fruits and whiffs of vanilla tinged berries. There's a bramble twig undergrowth note in there along with some spicy hints from the wood aging. The mouthfeel is full and structured with melty tannins and plenty of sapid "rouge" flavors.

M&Ms

Jean Marc and his Daughter Aurélie produce all of the wines. Jean Marc focuses on the reds and whites while Aurélie's passion lies in her rosé project, Château L'Enclos des Roses.

Carignan La Galiniere

Producer: Chateau du Donjon
Region: Languedoc, France
Grapes: 100% Carignan

Carignan is much more than it's typical spicy complexity, and when it's not blended and made purely of carignan, the wine can show off it's ripe strawberry and plum aromas and tart cranberry flavors with little hints of savory herbs. Like a light bodied CA zinfandel but with more rusticity and wildness to the nose.

Kit Kats

This wine is part of a solo varietal series by Chateau du Donjon, highlighting the individual grapes typically blended together in Languedoc-Roussillon.
