Your Wines

Beaujolais Villages

Vintage: 2020
Region: Beaujolais, France
Grapes: 100% Gamay

Tasting notes:
Named after Pierre Andre’s Great Aunt Alice, this beaujolais village is just like the late Matriarch - fun, flirty, easy going and appreciated by everyone. Fruity on the nose and palate, this gamay has a touch more weight thanks to some fruit sourcing from cru Brouilly. The nose is all creamed berries and bramble that translates to flavors of baked cherry pie, super ripe strawberries, sweet herb tea and enough spice and grip to let you know it’s French. Pro Tip: put a slight chill on this one before drinking.

Pairs with:
Cedar plank salmon, sushi, brie, duck with plum sauce, grilled steak

Interesting fact:
Beaujolais is the name of a little area in France just south of Burgundy that makes wine with Gamay grapes. It’s one of the few wine regions of France that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Binario Crianza

Vintage: 2018
Region: Rioja, Spain
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo

Tasting notes:
Muddled raspberries and sweet cinnamon with tart cherry and a hint of pink peppercorn. A light wine for Rioja it manages to balance a fresh, tart acidity with the lush ripe red fruits the region is known for.

Pairs with:
Chicken kabobs, mushroom & truffle risotto, roast vegetables

Interesting fact:
Ruth and Ana, the two De Andres sisters, are polar opposites. Ruth is the winemaker. She studied chemistry and enology in Spain, while Ana is the project manager who runs the day to day operations.

Bon Ju Rouge

Vintage: 2020
Region: Cotes du Rhone, France
Grapes: 30% Merlot, 30% Marselan, 30% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre

Tasting notes:
Brambley and bright with a Juicy Juice mix of red, black and purple berry flavors. A hint of spice joins in on the palate along with fresh strawberry and mulberry.

Pairs with:
Sushi, fried clams, birria tacos

Interesting fact:
Half of the grapes are handpicked and the other half mechanically from 50 year old vines. All grapes are then hand sorted with double selection before being pressed. After finishing his studies at Beaune in Burgundy, Julien Mus, the winemaker, returned to the Vaucluse and in 2005, after years of working in the cooperative, started Domaine de la Graveirette on his own, with quality being his goal. In 2012 he began working organically and soon after biodynamically, with the 2015 vintage certified by Demeter.

Cabernet Franc

Vintage: 2020
Region: Veneto, Italy
Grapes: Cabernet Franc, splash of Merlot

Tasting notes:
Ruby red and intense with a myriad of red fruit and garrigue herb aromas. Arugula adjacent black pepper and earthy plum notes on the palate with a deep, dark finish of cassis and cherry jam.

Pairs with:
Roast chicken with mashed potatoes, meat lover's pizza, sausage sandwich

The grapevines here benefit from river-borne volcanic sediment left behind from ages ago. Located in the Northeast corner of Italy the Veneto region reaches all the way from Venice to the Austrian border.

Gelsi Gelso Rosso

Vintage: 2020
Region: Gaillac, France
Grapes: 100% Aglianico

Tasting notes:
A pure expression of the native grape Aglianico made in a lush, juicy style. Plum, blackberry, cherry and blueberry flavors surround a core of violet-scented raspberry. It sounds like a lot, but all of these flavors are wrapped up in a silky-yet-robust everyday red

Pairs with:
Smoked BBQ, duck breast, grilled flank steak with green beans

Interesting fact:
Monte Vultre and it's volcanic formations most recently erupted in 1980 destroying many towns in the region.

Puglia IGP Rosso "Il rosso e il nero"

Vintage: 2018
Region: Puglia, Italy

The red and the black indeed! The aromas are of bright red cherries and deep, dark black currants. The palate moves into bright red raspberry with blackberry, licorice and a deep note of cherry liqueur.

Tinedo Básico

Vintage: 2021
Region: La Mancha, Spain

Tasting notes:
Expressive and straightforward with blue flowers, violets, cherry licorice like Red-Vines and a hint of blood orange. Fresh finish with more fruit than tannin.

Lamb burgers, pork with reduction sauce

A more complex wine from La Mancha with persisitent notes of strawberry jam and wild flower. The palate adds a touch of balsamic and licorice to the red fruits and blends some dark cherry into that strawberry jam note.

Vigne Blanche

Vintage: 2019
Region: Gaillac, France
Grapes: Braucol, Duras, Syrah

Tasting notes:
Winemaker Jean Marc likes to describe this wine in one simple word: rouge. Tough to argue when the wine is such a deep, deep garnet color boasting intense scents of red fruits and whiffs of vanilla tinged berries. There's a bramble twig undergrowth note in there along with some spicy hints from the wood aging. The mouthfeel is full and structured with melty tannins and plenty of sapid "rouge" flavors.

Pairs with:
Red meat, chorizo, root vegetables

Interesting fact:
Gaillac has been making wine for well over 2,000 years. Originally one of the growing regions of the Gaul along with Hermitage and Cote-Rotie, the grapes here were imported by The Phoenicians during the 4th century BC.
